God’s Unrelenting Love For Us

As I start back into putting up blog posts and sharing the Word of God, I felt it was important to talk about God’s unfailing and unrelenting love for us. There are so many people in this world who do not truly know what it feels like to be loved without condition. Many of us grew up where our parents granted us love with condition, but God is not like that. I believe this is why we have a difficult time relating and growing near to God.

We do not understand how someone, especially the Creator of The Universe could care for someone like us. We are flawed and prone to failing. Many times we are inconsistent and even unloving towards others. How is it that God is still pursuing us? How is it that God desires the best for me? I do not deserve it! Many do not know how to receive the gift of His love.

I want to encourage you by sharing a couple scriptures that I pray impact your life and change your heart in the midst of whatever challenges you may be facing.

Romans 5:6-8: …while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

When I read these three verses I cannot help but see myself in these verses. While people were cursing God and speaking against Him, God sent His most precious and only son as we see in John 3:16. God does not look at us as we are now. He looks at us through the lens of unconditional and unfailing love. Without that lens of love, we would all be doomed to a life of sin and failure. But we see in Romans 8:32 that God did not even spare His own son for our sake! If we read a little further down starting in verse 37, we find that not only did God send His son to redeem us, but he also made us more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who died for us.

In looking through some of these scriptures we see a Heavenly Father that cared so much for His creation that he did not even hesitate to sacrifice His son for our good. There was no condition for us to be given the gift of redemption from sin and death. It was a free gift! A gift of love from our Heavenly Father to His children.

I want to end by telling you that you will never be worthy of God’s love, but you don’t need to be. It is a free gift that God gave without hesitation or reservation. Accept the fact that God loves you and desires the best for you. If you do not have a relationship with God, now is the time. If you have fallen away, it is time for your comeback. I want to encourage you to take two steps.

  1. Accept Jesus into your heart or renew your relationship with Him if you already have accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
    • Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for my sin. I ask you to forgive me, come into my heart and take up residence. I receive you as my Lord and Savior and ask you to help me live according to your Word the rest of my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
  1. Don’t stop at step 1!  Become a disciple of God. Don’t just say a prayer and forget it. Start reading and praying. Relationship with God comes through understanding His word and having a communication line with God through prayer.

I hope that this has helped you see and know that God loves you unconditionally and has given you everything that you need to succeed. If you just prayed that prayer for the first time, email us and let us know, we would love to keep you in prayer as you start your life as a disciple of Christ.

As always, we hope you will share, retweet and invite others to follow our blog.
